Q&A: Strategies for Dealing with Work from Home Stress

A letter and invitation to Wiss clients, partners friends and family from Paul Peterson, Managing Partner, Wiss

Hello to our Extended Wiss Family,

In order to deal with the immediate and wide-spread threat of this pandemic, the global focus has rightfully been on ensuring our collective physical health and well-being is maintained through actions like “physical distancing” and remote working.  This virus unfortunately preys on the more vulnerable and we must do our part to protect them.  Many of us have been and/or unfortunately will be experiencing a loved one or friend who becomes a victim of this terrible disease.  Our thoughts are with you, your families and your friends.

There are many negative consequences that we are experiencing from COVID-19.  Loss, sickness, separation, economic fall-out, isolation are all psychological factors that can damage our emotional health and cause individual and family stress.

From the stresses of suddenly working remotely to schooling children at home, almost all of us are heading into uncharted territory with this global pandemic and financial crisis.

Just as Wiss has been your partner to grow with by providing critical expertise in a full range of professional disciplines, we also call in the experts when needed. For many years, our expert on top-performing habits has been clinical psychologist – Dr. Nick Molinaro.

Wiss is delighted to host Dr. Nick for a candid 60 minute Q&A this coming Thursday, April 9th at 3:00 PM ET to discuss how we can more successfully overcome stress during these trying times – with a special focus on working from home.

We welcome everyone, including employees and business partners, friends and family to join this event. Our hope is that it will give solace to all by validating the underlying stress we are all experiencing and provide psychological-based understandings and techniques for overcoming anxiety triggers.

All my best,

Paul Peterson
