I have many ways in which I can unwind after a stressful day at work. From exercise to cooking, a lot of my favorite things to do also help me relax. Working out, keeps me energized and feeling good. With all the to-dos we have during the day, it’s an easy one to check off the list. When the weather is nice, I like to take walks, either at work around the building or at home through my neighborhood. It’s always nice to stop and smell the roses when things get hectic. I also always make sure to get a massage once a month. It’s probably one of the best ways to relax, especially after a good workout.

I find traveling very relaxing. I’ve been lucky enough to travel and see some amazing places and people. So far, I’ve been to 43 states and over 20 countries and counting, with a lot of repeats in between. As much as I love to travel, I also look forward to weekends where I can stay in, watch a good movie and catch a delicious Sunday breakfast.

About 5 years ago, we started cooking with Blue Apron and never looked back. It gives me a great sense of accomplishments to taste a meal I’ve prepared myself. Additionally, it takes my mind off stressful things because, it keeps me focused on making the meal and nothing else.

I love to volunteer. Not only do I love helping others, it helps me take a break from the day-to-day. I usually mentor business school students at Rutgers. Providing guidance and helping them navigate through their college careers is very rewarding. This summer I also volunteered at a homeless shelter and helped make dinner for over 50 homeless teens in NYC.

Recently, I had my first child and I can just stare at her all day. She puts an instant smile on my face. I look forward to experiencing the joys of parenthood- this is my new and favorite way to unwind.
