Azra is a Director of State and Local Taxes at Wiss. She brings over 15 years of experience in state and local tax consulting, tax accounting and tax compliance for both publicly and privately held companies. Azra has assisted both large companies and smaller closely held businesses in multiple industries while working in New York, New Jersey and overseas for a Big Four firm.
She consults with her clients on income and franchise tax issues such as state tax filing nexus, apportionment of income, state tax base modifications, business and non-business income, tax controversy and state business incentives. Additionally, Azra has represented clients before state tax authorities as well as the Internal Revenue Service.
