Miho serves foreign and U.S. corporations and partnerships with foreign operations, as well as high-net worth individuals with cross-border tax issues. Her clients span industries including private equity, real estate, distribution, manufacturing and entertainment.
Miho’s expertise includes international tax compliance, subpart F, PFIC, Sec. 956, Sec. 987 calculations, cross-border restructuring, voluntary disclosure program assistance, tax provision, tax controversy, and tax planning and research.
She brings to her clients more than 15 years of public accounting tax experience in both Big Four and regional CPA firms, as well as significant experience working for a Fortune 500 company as a corporate tax professional. Miho’s private sector experience includes serving as an associate director in the tax department of a multinational media company, where she prepared and reviewed consolidated federal and state tax returns for more than 500 entities, as well as special tax projects such as R&D credits and domestic production activities deductions. Miho also assisted her company in streamlining the compliance function, creating efficiencies in data collection through automation and system enhancements.
